DIY Your Own Natural Moisturizer

안녕하세요

I start practising my Love Rules resolutions. Yesterday night myself and my husband try out something interesting. Remember I was telling you we are planning to have our small business? It will be related to Essential Oil.

Yup, I just started using doTERRA essential oil a few months back and I start to fall in love with essential oil. The best part of it is I can use it without worrying that it will be harmful to my family as this oil is natural where you can be used aromatically, topically and the best part is you can even drink or add into our cooking.

Yesterday we tried to make our own moisturizer using lavender essential oil. We got the ingredients from doTERRA blog. Very easy and very convenient. The ingredients that you need are:

⅓ cup aloe vera gel (do not use juice or aloe from a plant as the cream won’t whip properly)
2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
2 tablespoons jojoba oil
½ tablespoon beeswax
10 drops Lavender oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, gently heat the almond and jojoba oils with the beeswax.
  2. Once melted, transfer your mixture to a deep mixing bowl. Leave to cool for an hour or until the mixture reaches room temperature.
  3. Slowly add the aloe vera gel and Lavender oil as you blend the mixture with a hand blender.
  4. Continue adding aloe until you have reached your desired consistency.
  5. Store in an airtight container and apply to skin liberally.

The below is the final outcome before we mix the essential oil and aloe vera. Forgive us for the colour of the image because we did it at night and the lighting is warm white at our home =)

Somebody is enjoying mixing the Lavender oil and Aloe Vero into the moisturizer.

I normally use doTERRA Fractionated Coconut oil and 2 drops of Lavender oil on my dry skin. Sometimes I find it quite troublesome when travelling because bringing the Fractionated Coconut oil around. Moreover, I am worried that the coconut oil will spill and leave a stain on my bags which it already happens on my Longchamp =(

With this, DIY moisturizer, Is so easy and handy now because I fill them in a 15ml size bottle which is my previous eye cream bottle and I do not have to worried about coconut oil spilt in my bag now. Yea…..

We have opened a Facebook page name “doTERRA Wellness Natural Essential Oil” just to share the products we are selling and also information that we collected. Do like our page for more information.

My brother just comes back from his Taiwan trip and he brought back a lot of souvenirs. Yesterday I was on leave because I bring my dad for an interview for US Visa application. Thereafter, we went back home to have breakfast together. I feel very grateful to have a happy and lovely family.

He bought back a lot of snacks from Taiwan. All of us enjoy the moment of family bonding. Is just a simple souvenirs but we all loved it. I notice one thing, The packaging of the Taiwan products is very colourful, cheerful and sweet. When you see the packaging you will feel happy. I like the Taro Cake packaging. Is full of the cartoon at the box. So cute.

As usual, when we are travelling, we will not forget our lovely Money boy boy. Money boy got his new year cloth. He is enjoying his new year apparel where come all the way from Taiwan.

I just love my brother so much, he knows I am a Starbucks collector. He bought me the Starbucks Taiwan mugs as my souvenir. He also bought a lucky charm for my husband. We decided to hang it in our room.

Sometimes nothing is more important than family love. We are too busy complaining about our life until we overlook how lucky we are actually. Be grateful and appreciate everything that we have.

Imposter Syndrome

안녕하세요,

I was going thru my blog draft and I just notice I have yet to share this article where I found on Cleo Magazine for the month February 2017. The article is sharing about people with “Imposter Syndrome”. I am not a Psychologies of course and when I was reading the article I do not know what is Imposter Syndrome. So I went on Google to obtain more details.

People with imposter syndrome always have self-doubt that they are not good enough and always feel that whatever they do is wrong even though they are quite successful.  Valerie Young, a writer of The Secret Thoughts of Successful Women: Why Capable People Suffer From the Imposter Syndrome and How to Thrive in Spite of It, has categorised imposter patient into 5 subgroups:

  1. The Perfectionist
  2. The Superwoman/man
  3. The Natural Genius
  4. The Rugged Individualist
  5. The Expert

Read more in FastCompany.Com.

According to Forbes Online article, 70% of people have suffered the Imposter Syndrom including the writer. So I was wondering am I suffering from this syndrome because I always have self-doubt that I am not good and everything I do is always not perfect. However, if I look back the 5subgroups categories by Valerie Young, I don’t think I am in those categories. I guess mine is more of no confidence and no passion. =)

Forbes Online writer explains 4 ways to overcome the Imposter syndrome:

  1. Focus on the value you bring; not on attaining perfection
  2. Own your success. You didn’t get lucky by chance
  3. Cease comparison. They’re an act violence against oneself.
  4. Hold firm to ambition. Risk outright exposure.

Sometimes, is not easy to realise if we are the victim or not until 3rd party highlighted to us. Hope that people with Imposter Syndrome can escape from the Syndrome and be a happy person. Appreciate life with full of Love and Gratitude.

As We Grow Older~~~

안녕하세요,

Found this article on Facebook and it was requested to COPY & PASTE on our page post instead of just shared it.

“As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a $30,000 or a $30.00 watch, they both tell the same time. Whether we carry a $3000 or a $30.00 wallet/handbag, the amount of money inside is the same. Whether we drink a bottle of $300 or $10 wine, the hangover is almost the same. Whether the house we live in is 1000 or 10,000 sq. ft., loneliness is the same. You will realize, your true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world.
Therefore, I hope you realize, when you have mates, buddies and old friends, brothers and sisters, who you chat with, laugh with, talk with, have sung songs with, talk about north-south-east-west or heaven and earth, That is true happiness!!”

SEVEN UNDENIABLE FACTS OF LIFE:

  1. Don’t educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be Happy. So when they grow up they will know the value of things, not the price.
  2. Best awarded words: “Eat your food as your medicines. Otherwise, you have to eat medicines as your food.”
  3. The One who loves you will never leave you because even if there are 50 reasons to give up he or she will find one reason to hold on.
  4. There is a big difference between a human being and being human. Only a few really understand it.
  5. You are loved when you are born. You will be loved when you die. In between, You have to manage!
  6. If you just want to Walk Fast, Walk Alone! But if you want to Walk Far, Walk Together!
  7. If you want to keep great friends in your life, Love, Trust, and Respect them always!!

SIX BEST DOCTORS IN THE WORLD:

  1. Sunlight
  2. Rest
  3. Exercise
  4. Diet
  5. Self Confidence
  6. Family/Friends

Maintain them in all stages of Life and enjoy a healthy life.
The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

As an when I am getting older, I keep myself away from negative people who do not value Love and Gratitude. Who always take friendship for granted and who always complain about other people weakness.

I am practising Superlife SecretCodes where we learn to Love and be grateful for everything we have and learn to appreciate life.
