Silence Weekend

While searching for my soul, I decided to pick up my beloved camera Sony A5100 to participate in the weekly photo challenge. This week challenge is Silence. Just is so match for my weekend feeling. Loving to stay in a quiet place have a peaceful silence time. I took my Fuchiko x Hello Kitty with me as they represent me.

TGIF with Nebulizer Diffuser and Essential Oil.

TGIF, but as usual, tomorrow I still have to work. Last time, I will always feel demotivated because when everybody is enjoying their Friday and I will still need to wait for 1 more day to enjoy. So instead of TGIF mine is always TGIS. However now, after staying connected with my essential oil, I notice that my mood has change.

Happiness scent changes your mood. I have mixed doTERRA essential oil Lemon & Citrus Bliss and it smells good. Brings up my Friday!!!

There other Aromatherapy scents that able to enhance your mood .

  1. Lavender essential oil  – for calming, balancing, sedative, promotes a sense of well being.
  2. Chamomile essential oil – for calming nerves, relaxing, soothes emotions, eases frustrations.
  3. Orange Essential oil – for uplifting to mind and body, calming, fosters creativity, supports a positive mood.
  4. Bergamot Essential oil – for refreshing, uplifting, many help with anxiety, depression, stress or tension.
  5. Peppermint Essential oil – for invigorating to mind, body and soul, improves attitude, increases alertness, improves concentration.
  6. Frankincense Essential oil – for eases irritability, balances emotions, creates inner peace.
  7. Lemon Essential oil – for invigorating, enhances mood, warming, promotes energy & alertness.
  8. Ylang Ylang Essential oil – for calming and relaxing, sedative, may help alleviate anger.
  9. Vetiver Essential oil – for calming, grounding, balancing, helps with stress and anxiety.
  10. Clary Sage Essential oil – to helps emotional stress, soothing, warming, feeling of self-confidence.

Lavender & Tea Tree Moisturizer

17 days in the year 2018 has gone and I have been continuing reviewing myself by note down at my Kittypiggy Colourful Life blog. As I am not an adventurous person, it will end up my life is too simple that people will always tell me that my life is very boring.

So I am trying to make a change. In the year of 2018, I want to be more adventurous and try new things. I never had any interest with anything except watching YouTube, reading a novel, listening to music and most important sleep. In the year of 2018, I have found a new interest which is DIY own healthy products. Firstly, I save a lot of money because healthy products are expensive. With some good brands, it will cost me a boom. Secondly, by doing my own products, I able to control the scent that I prefer. Third, life is short, I am enjoying myself with the DIY products.

A few days ago, my husband has tried up again to DIY own moisturizer. This time around, we put few 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil and 5 drops of Tea Tree Moisturizer.

Why we use Lavender and Tea Tree?

First of all, Lavender scent able to make you more relaxing and calm. Not only that, it can be used for healing purpose too.  There are few benefits of Lavender essential oil as explain in Alternative Day website.

  1. For acne
    • Lavender oil able to penetrate pores to kill bacteria.
  2. For skin lightening 
    • Lavender oil is anti-inflammatory. It helps to reduce redness of the skin and help to restore bright and natural skin tone. When is been used regularly, it may help to reduce dark age spot and other skin discolouration.
  3. For anti-wrinkle
    • Due to Lavender oil is rich in antioxidants, it will be able to protect your skin from damaging free radicals which contributed to your fine lines and wrinkles.
  4. For eczema and psoriasis
    • Lavender oil may help to reduce the itch and irritation caused by psoriasis and it may help with eczema outbreaks.
  5. For sunburn
    • Lavender oil may help to relieve the burning and swelling.
  6. For skin fungus
    • Lavender oil able to kill fungus infection and irritation on the skin.

As for Tea Tree essential oil, we added it in because it has similar benefit as Lavender. So by adding in into our DIY moisturizer, we have a wonderful scent with double benefits from these 2 oils. The moisturizer can be used as a balm ointment as well. I bring the moisturizer around now. Safe me a lot of money on buying expensive hand cream with limited benefit.

I am learning to love myself now. Life is full of colourful scene, be more positive and be happy.

DIY Your Own Natural Moisturizer

I start practising my Love Rules resolutions. Yesterday night myself and my husband try out something interesting. Remember I was telling you we are planning to have our small business? It will be related to Essential Oil.

Yup, I just started using doTERRA essential oil a few months back and I start to fall in love with essential oil. The best part of it is I can use it without worrying that it will be harmful to my family as this oil is natural where you can be used aromatically, topically and the best part is you can even drink or add into our cooking.

Yesterday we tried to make our own moisturizer using lavender essential oil. We got the ingredients from doTERRA blog. Very easy and very convenient. The ingredients that you need are:

⅓ cup aloe vera gel (do not use juice or aloe from a plant as the cream won’t whip properly)
2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
2 tablespoons jojoba oil
½ tablespoon beeswax
10 drops Lavender oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, gently heat the almond and jojoba oils with the beeswax. 
  2. Once melted, transfer your mixture to a deep mixing bowl. Leave to cool for an hour or until the mixture reaches room temperature.
  3. Slowly add the aloe vera gel and Lavender oil as you blend the mixture with a hand blender.
  4. Continue adding aloe until you have reached your desired consistency.
  5. Store in an airtight container and apply to skin liberally.

The below is the final outcome before we mix the essential oil and aloe vera. Forgive us for the colour of the image because we did it at night and the lighting is warm white at our home =)

Somebody is enjoying mixing the Lavender oil and Aloe Vero into the moisturizer.

I normally use doTERRA Fractionated Coconut oil and 2 drops of Lavender oil on my dry skin. Sometimes I find it quite troublesome when travelling because bringing the Fractionated Coconut oil around. Moreover, I am worried that the coconut oil will spill and leave a stain on my bags which it already happens on my Longchamp =(

With this, DIY moisturizer, Is so easy and handy now because I fill them in a 15ml size bottle which is my previous eye cream bottle and I do not have to worried about coconut oil spilt in my bag now. Yea…..

Love Rules !

The 1st week of January 2018 has ended and today start the second week of the January. On Saturday the whole day, I was having company conference event to kick-start the year 2018. This year, our company will be focusing more on innovation and customer relationship. Is a full day conference from 8.00am to 8.00pm. Too many information flowing and I am trying to absorb all. After the 4th speaker, I started to lost concentration and there is where my old habit, taking photos. Took a picture of my Benjamin and Microsoft Cloud plushie. This is to avoid I fall asleep. Just wanted to share the image because is cute =)

In the year 2018, I will want to focus more on healthy living and healthy relationship. Today, I was reading an article from Health & Nutrition magazine, January 2018. They are discussing Love Rules Resolutions as listed below. I take this chance to review the Love Rules Resolutions for myself.

1. Spend More Time Actually Being Together

-Put all your digital accessories aside and really spend time together, talk to each other and have some little love chat. I think we have not been doing this well as we both are always in our digital life.

2. Be In The Moment

– When we are together, we always got this little problem where we are worried about future. He is planning for his own small business plan and normally there will be a concern about our future planning where it will result in a little de-motivation mood. I will always encourage him not to have negative thought because it will stop him from moving to a bigger plan. I will prefer we enjoy whatever we have at this moment because time flies, we will never go back the same day as today.

3. Kick Off An Aventure, TOGETHER

– This is the resolution that I really wanted to start this year because we both hardly go out together and we hardly sign up for any adventurous activity. The problem with both of us is that we do not like noisy and crowded places. That is why we will always end up staying at home. We really need to start doing something new every month.

4. Turn Arguments Into Conversation Rather Than Competitions

– That is why many couples will end with break-up /divorced if is long term because of Ego, both wanted to be the winner. For this, I think we both are doing well, normally I will try to walk away first when the “pot” is still hot, once the “pot” has cool down, we will discuss the matters that arise that also lead to arguments.

5. Quit The Blame Game

– Yes. I am taking this resolution very seriously now. I have been with my husband for 11 years before I decided to marry him. Of course, along with the journey, I did try to change him and sometimes, I do blame him for not being caring and detail. Now, after I get myself involve with Master Sun, The Superlife Secret Codes, I learn to say the word “I” instead of “You”. I still learning and trying to change my mindset and my approach. Still trying hard and I hope things will change later future.

6. Think Positive

– Every time when things do not go the way I wanted, I will sometimes get frustrated and end up I will be absorbing negative energy. Most of the time it will also be ended up with arguments and we both will asleep in an angry mood. So for this resolution, we are trying very hard now.

7. Make A Compromise

– Compromising! The most challenging resolution for partners because we all wanted things to be in our own way. Again, I still trying very hard. Like what Master Sun always say, before you want your partner to change, we have to look back on ourself first. Change our bad habit first and subsequently your partner will follow to suit you as well.

8. Keep The Third Party Out

 – This resolution I think I am doing quite well. Both our parents respect our privacy and they will not interfere in our personal lives. Thanks to our lovely parents, that is why we can be together for 11 years and more years to come.

9. Make Time For Sex

– Alright, this resolution. I can only say, Yes, we will improve it and make time for this. As usual, busy life, with tired work task and end up not in the mood. Sometimes, we do have this problem.

So, out of 9, I think I am only good at resolution 4. The other 8 resolutions, I guess I will still need to improve and adapt the habit into my daily life in order to have a happy relationship with my husband because we still have a long way to go. Maybe I should set a dateline to review myself again =)

New Year Lunch

안녕하세요

Start my first day of work in the year 2018 with a simple lunch but expensive dessert. To kick-start the year 2018, we have lunch at KLCC but we ate at foodcourt only because we want to have a quick and simple lunch. I ate chicken spaghetti from Pizza Milano and the taste is nice too. Is not very expensive. Is only RM9.00.

Before we go off, we pass by Haagen-Dazs and we decided to buy a great dessert. Is going to be a great start ahead. We were laughing at our own self because we had a cheap lunch but expensive dessert. This dark chocolate & berry cookies ice-cream milkshake cost us RM20.00.

I just want to appreciate every single day that I have gone thru because I want to appreciate every single moment that I have gone thru. Thank you, God, for giving me a good life so that I able to enjoy lunch and dessert.

New Year Resolutions

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! My 1st artwork for the year 2018.

The first day of new year, I have been sleeping the whole day because one day before the new year, I was attending my company annual dinner at One World Hotel. By the time the event end it was about 3.00am in the morning. Is our 27th year of annual dinner. I woke up around 9.30am, went over to my parent’s house to have breakfast with them thereafter, I went back home and fall asleep again. Woke up at around 8.30pm.

Today is 2nd day of New Year and is going to be another good day. I tell myself in the Year 2018, I will make sure I have very positive thinking and never be negative about my life. Never give excuses and never run away from the problem. Run out from SILO habit and read more. Never be influenced by the negative energy and avoid negative people.

I want to create more adventurous memories together with my loved one. I want to grow together with him, I want to have a simple and happy life with him. We both are trying to adopt new positive lifestyle and may the year 2018 we will be able to create more positive memories. May the year 2018 be a wonderful and good year for us.
