Simple Dinner For Him

안녕하세요

Today while waiting for my husband to come back, I suddenly feel like eating pickles lettuce. This is where you will miss your mom’s homecooked food. Then my husband called me and informed me that he will be late because he stuck in a very heavy traffic jam. So while waiting, I decided to try to cook the pickles lettuce.

I try to recall the way my mom cooked. I remember she put garlic and meat and a bottle of pickles lettuce and just boil until it is ready to serve. So I was just trying my luck. I was thinking that worst case is I have to throw away the meat and the pickles lettuce.

Surprisingly I do not have to waste the meat and the pickles lettuce. Turn up the pickles lettuce meat stew taste good. My husband loved it. =)

New Year Lunch

안녕하세요

Start my first day of work in the year 2018 with a simple lunch but expensive dessert. To kick-start the year 2018, we have lunch at KLCC but we ate at foodcourt only because we want to have a quick and simple lunch. I ate chicken spaghetti from Pizza Milano and the taste is nice too. Is not very expensive. Is only RM9.00.

Before we go off, we pass by Haagen-Dazs and we decided to buy a great dessert. Is going to be a great start ahead. We were laughing at our own self because we had a cheap lunch but expensive dessert. This dark chocolate & berry cookies ice-cream milkshake cost us RM20.00.

I just want to appreciate every single day that I have gone thru because I want to appreciate every single moment that I have gone thru. Thank you, God, for giving me a good life so that I able to enjoy lunch and dessert.

Hyo Sun Korean Restaurant at The Curve

안녕하세요

Went out to The Curve to have dinner and I wanted to get some stationary for my 2018 planner. While walking we notice there are some new restaurants around and we decided to give a try at Hyo Sun Korean Restaurant. This Korean Restaurant located at The Curve, 1st floor, food concept is similar to KyoChon. Their speciality is also the Korean Fried Chicken.

Currently, they are having promotions, Honey Chicken Set with unlimited rice refill is RM10.90. Asian Chicken Set also unlimited rice refill is RM10.00.

I chose Honey Chicken Set because I feel the Asian Chicken Set is a bit like our Malay chicken rice. Of course for the price of RM10.90 is quite worth it to me because I have rice, chicken, soup, Kimchi (which is my favourite) and a dessert. The Honey chicken is actually very nice and is very crispy. I think they freshly cook because we were informed that we need to wait about 10 minutes for the chicken to be ready.

My husband chose the Honey Drumstick and also Crispy Drumstick. Each flavour cost RM11.50. My husband says both flavours are very good and the Crispy drumstick is really very crispy. He is very satisfied with the chicken taste.

Whoever visits Korean Restaurant, cannot be not ordering the Kimchi Soup. However, if I re-visit this restaurant again, I might not order the Kimchi Soup. The Kimchi soup portion is big and can share with 3 or more people. Is not very expensive too, such a big bowl soup cost RM13.90 with Toufu, chicken breast meat and vegetables inside. I will not order again because the soup taste is quite disappointed. Is not what I expected. I not sure why but it tastes weird. We did not finish the soup at the end.

Overall actually the chicken is nice. We will definitely come back for the chicken. However, if I was given a choice to choose between KyoChon and Hyo Sun, of course, I will still choose KyoChon because to me, the chicken is nicer, and the rice tastes nicer too. In terms of pricing, of course currently, Hyo Sun is cheaper because the price has included GST and they do not charge service charge currently.

My Fuchiko x Hello Kitty is also enjoying the food too. Hope they can improve their Kimchi Soup one day.

Lunch @ Kiku – Zakura

안녕하세요

Busy with work after my wedding. That is why have not been updating my Kittypiggy blog. My life has been busy because I was busy with work and also busy getting used to my new life. In addition, busy building my husband business.

That day after he met up with his client, he drops by my office to have lunch with me. We decided to go to Great Eastern mall to have lunch. Wanted to eat at the food court but most of the counter is closed. I guess they are close at weekend. So we change our lunch location to Kiku-Zakura which is a Japanese restaurant.

Did not try before because when I visit Great Eastern Mall I always eat food court. So we decided to give a try. The concept is like Rakuzen, they have set lunch as well. The pricing is a bit higher compare to Rakuzen.

The Appetizer already cost RM26.00. Is nice but I feel is not so worth it. The Green tea standard is RM2.00 per cup and is refillable.

This Saba and Sushi set taste good. Soup is nice, is just that I feel weird the salad they gave is Thousand Island salad dressing. Normally Japanese Restaurant salad will come with Sesame salad dressing. So the salad is out. This whole set is RM28.00. Still reasonable to me.

This Beef Bento, my husband says is nice as well. Same, the salad spoils everything. This bento cost RM48.00. Not so bad because is beef.

The price stated is not nett. They charge 6% gst and also 10% of service charge. Service is good, before order, they will provide you with a warm towel to wipe your hand. After you finished, they provide you warm towel again to wipe your hand as well. Service wise is good.

Time flies, tomorrow is Monday again. So instead of complaining Monday Bluez, I decided to start doing planning for tomorrow.

Happy Sunday~~

Glass Bottle For Essential Oil Drinks

안녕하세요

I am new in essential oil and I am also learning how to use essential oil. Not only for myself but also to help people who needed. So, I have been attending courses and also doing a lot of research about essential usage.

I have been consuming Lemon essential oil in my drinks. Earlier days, I was using Tupperware plastic bottle. Then I saw this article from Glasstic Water Bottle that undiluted essential oils can eat through plastic and even diluted oils will degrade plastics over time.

So recently BROS has launched their new products which are BROS VASO. This bottle is glass bottle with varieties design and sizes. You can find it at One Utama Parkson and they are having a promotion with 10% discount. The 400ml cost RM43.90 and the 550ml cost RM45.90. The 630ml, I did not see the price because I was rushing off. If purchase 2 bottles, you will get a free pouch for the bottle. If not, you also can purchase the pouch with the cost of RM15.90 for the small pouch and RM17.90 for the big pouch. There isn’t any discount for the pouch.

I bought the 400ml with fairy tale design because the 550ml is a bit bulky for me and if I am travelling around, it will be good if I can bring along with my essential oil drinks. So I start my Wednesday morning with healthy orange juice with my doTERRA lemon in my juice.

Dinner @ The Jungle City Restaurant

안녕하세요

#throwback Family dinner

I just realised I did not journal down my experience dining in at The Jungle City at Taman Bukit Maluri.

Brought my family to this Restaurant to celebrate Mothers Day and also my brother graduation celebration. This restaurant has a cute theme where is like as though you are having dinner in the jungle. I am not a food blogger, of course, I just wanted to share my experience and what is my opinion in terms of their food taste.

To me, their food is good and is worth re-visiting again if there is any celebration or gathering. The pricing is affordable and they are generous with the food portion. They have western food and Chinese food.  You need to do early booking before hand to avoid queuing if not you will have to arrive earlier before the dinner crowd.

After dinner, you can have a photo session with the Gorilla as well. =P I have shared some photos of the restaurant environment and also the food presentation for reference.

Menya Musashi Japanese Ramen #throwback

안녕하세요

Is been some time I update my lovely colourful life blog. Have been busy moving my new office. I have been transferred from Petaling Jaya to Kuala Lumpur area. Is a new project and need to set up a new office.  There is still a lot of things to arrange, however, at least finally I have time to sit down and update my blog.

I wanted to share about this Ramen Restaurant in Isetan One Utama. This Menya Musashi is located in Isetan One Utama F&B section. We always pass by the restaurant but never want to go in because the restaurant is very noisy. Is noisy because the staff will keep on shouting something in Japanese word and to me, I am not very comfortable with it. It might be their culture but I don’t really like it.

So that day when we pass by we realise the staff is not shouting. So I was guessing they decided not to shout? So I and my fiance decided to walk in. I have ordered Mazesoba and my fiance ordered Shiro Musashi.

In our opinion, this ramen is a bit too oily. That is why towards the end, we feel bored and don’t feel like eating. The portion is big so with the price is still acceptable for shopping mall restaurant. Both of the ramens cost RM27.00 each and the green tea cost RM3.50. They only allow refills if we are not sharing. Guess a lot of customers ordered a cup and share.

My fiance can’t finish at the end because he feels bored with the taste towards the end and too oily. In the ramen, there is just pork meat, egg and ramen.

Mine is actually Curry ramen. That is why when they serve the curry smells is very strong. Japanese Curry I mean.  I not able to finish at the end too because seriously too bored and bit salty.

If you ask me will I still go back to dine in there, I guess not at this moment because is not the taste that I will crave for.
